We founded Congleton Pride in 2018 because we want everyone in and around our town to have Pride and feel safe here. Our hope has been to show everyone what the LGBTQIA+ community is all about, the diverse range of people we are, what we bring to the world and how we need that world to understand and support us better.

We face difficult times in which transgender women in particular, but also trans men, nonbinary, genderfluid, gender-nonconforming and intersex people, are being openly stigmatised and denied rights through the political system and the media. More than ever, we encourage allies and members of our community to get in touch with your elected representatives and show that your voice matters!
