For the first time ever on 20th July 2024, we’re ‘taking over’ the Town Hall during the daytime as part of Congleton Pride.
In the latest of our series of collaborations with Congleton Museum we present the art exhibition Our Story: Pride of Place. Featuring photography, poetry and video art where the LGBTQIA+ community tells it own stories. And we’ll also have more art and fashion exhibits by members and friends of the Congleton Pride team. Open 10:30am – 4pm.
Fashion shows by our Pride Parade sponsor Dress2mydoor, featuring their pre-loved occasionwear: elegant gowns… dazzling accessories… tailored suits… They’re committed to an ethic of affordability, inclusivity and mindful consumption. Shows at 12 and 3pm, each lasting about 30 minutes.
And upstairs, our Safe / Quiet Space offering somewhere to relax away from the noise of the rest of the event – and maybe even enjoy a snack. You’re free to talk confidentially to our volunteers, and if you need to, report a hate crime. A judgement-free zone where everyone is accepted. Open 10am – 4:30pm.
