On Saturday 19 July, Congleton Pride brings people together for a joyful celebration that champions inclusion and challenges inequality. The town centre will be filled with music, colour, and community as Pride returns for its sixth year, rooted in LGBTQIA+ solidarity and fuelled by local support.
The full-day event kicks off at 10am, featuring:
- Two stages showcasing live music, drag, and dance
- A vibrant Pride Parade winding through the town
- Community and artisan stalls
- A tempting range of street food vendors, both on the high street and at Congleton Market Quarter
- An LGBTQIA+ exhibition highlighting local stories, history, and creativity
Organisers have made accessibility a cornerstone of this year’s event, working in partnership with the Equal Access Advisory Group. Visitors can expect:
- Step-free access and wide, navigable pathways
- Accessible toilets and seating throughout the site
- Clearly marked quiet zones
- BSL interpretation for selected performances
- Friendly volunteers on hand to support where needed

“Congleton Pride has shown real leadership by putting inclusion at the heart of its planning. Their commitment to creating a space where everyone can participate fully is a shining example of what inclusive events should look like and truly reflects their ethos that Pride is for everyone.”
– Dr Deborah Lawson, Chair of Congleton’s Equal Access Advisory Group
“Pride is joyful, powerful and necessary. We celebrate how far we’ve come, and we keep showing up for those still on that journey. Congleton Pride is a space where everyone can be seen, heard, and valued – for who they are. That’s why it matters.”
– Malcolm Pope, Chair of Congleton Pride
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, the backing of local sponsors like Millie’s Vets, and BBC Radio Stoke who’ll be broadcasting live on the day, Congleton Pride 2025 is set to be an uplifting, meaningful, and accessible day for all. Edit Development and the Congleton Chronicle are also proud media partners for this year’s event, sharing the spirit of Pride with communities across Congleton and beyond.
Everyone’s invited – so bring your pride, bring your people, and be part of it. Explore the full programme.
