This year’s Congleton Pride event takes place on Saturday 18th July in Congleton Town Hall, with a full day of entertainment for all the family.

“This year the Pride team decided to ring the changes with an indoor event, but the purpose is the same. Congleton Pride brings people together for a joyful celebration that champions diversity and everyone’s right to live as they want and love who they love. The day will be filled with music, colour, and fun at this, our seventh Congleton Pride annual event.”

Ronan Clayton, Congleton Pride Co-Chair

The free, full-day festival will be opened by the Town Crier and Town Mayor at 10am, and will include:

  • Live entertainment all day with music, comedy and dance on the main stage.
  • After Party in the evening – a free live music event.
  • Community and artisan stalls.
  • A fascinating selection of arts and crafts to try in the Bridestones Suite.
  • Bar open for refreshments.
  • Local shops will be adding colour with the Pride window-dressing competition.

At the event the Congleton Pride team will be inviting visitors to complete this year’s Pride Survey. The charity runs surveys every 2-3 years to learn what life is like for LGBTQIA+ people in Congleton. Anyone can complete the survey now. The results will be published later in 2026.

The Town Hall has step-free access and accessible toilets on the ground and first floor, and a lift to get upstairs. There will be a quiet space in the Spencer Suite on the first floor. Visitors can ask any of the friendly volunteers for assistance, and the Pride Guide will be offered in large-print format.

“We decided on a smaller footprint event this year, but Pride is still an important date in Congleton’s calendar. We use it celebrate how far we’ve come and acknowledge that some people still face discrimination and prejudice. We will keep showing up for those that need support. Congleton Pride is a space where everyone can be seen, heard, and valued for who they are. Many thanks to all the shops and local pubs and cafes who join in with Congleton Pride by decorating their windows and putting on their own events. We especially thank our wonderful volunteers who make it all happen, and our amazing event sponsors and donors. Everyone’s invited – so bring the family and have a great day!”

Abby Smith, Congleton Pride Co-Chair

This year the Pride event is sponsored by Millie’s Vets, Kanga Health and Plus Dane Housing, and has received financial support from several other local organisations. If a business or community group would like a stall at this year’s event, a small number of slots are still available. For this or to donate, email hello@congletonpride.co.uk.
